A new publication in Nature Astronomy describes the first results from surface grains of the near-Earth asteroid (162173) Ryugu with contributions of our group (Langenhorst, Harries). It was shown that the process of space weathering has multiple effects like dehydration of the asteroid surface. These are seen in the reflection spectra of the body, but do not allow to rate the bulk water and volatile loss.
